How to resize an image online

  1. Add a photo (or a batch) above.
  2. Open the Resize section and pick Percent, Exact pixels, or a Preset (4K, Full HD, HD, Square, Web).
  3. Leave Maintain aspect ratio on to avoid stretching, or turn it off for an exact width/height regardless of shape.
  4. Process and download — resizing can run alongside compression, cropping, and format conversion in the same pass.

Frequently asked questions

Will resizing distort my photo?

Only if you turn off "Maintain aspect ratio" and set a width/height that doesn't match the original shape — leave it on and the tool scales proportionally.

What's the difference between Percent and Exact resize?

Percent scales relative to the original size (50% halves both dimensions). Exact lets you type a target width and height in pixels directly.

What are the presets for?

Common target sizes: 4K and Full HD for video/wallpaper use, Square for social profile photos, Web for lighter page-load sizes.

Can I upscale a small photo to a bigger size?

Yes, though enlarging beyond the original resolution can look soft since no new detail is created — better for modest increases than dramatic ones.

Does resizing strip my photo's location/EXIF data?

Yes — metadata (EXIF/GPS) is removed automatically whenever a photo is re-encoded here, resize included.
