Exam & Government Portal Photo and Signature Sizes

Exam and government application portals reject photos and signatures that are even slightly outside their pixel or KB limits. Pick your portal below for its full spec and a one-tap preset, or use the tool directly — set a Max file size and an exact pixel size in the settings panel.

Nothing here yet — add photos above to get started.

Only helps if your background is already one plain color (e.g. a wall) — this is color-distance math, not real subject cutout, so it won't do anything useful against busy or textured backgrounds.

Frequently asked questions

Why does the portal keep rejecting my photo?

Usually the file is above the maximum KB, below the minimum KB, or not the exact pixel size. The presets on each portal page set all three at once.

What is the most common exam photo size?

Many Indian exam and bank portals use around 200×230 px at 20–50 KB for the photo, and 140×60 px at 10–20 KB for the signature — but check your portal, since they differ.

Do I need a photo studio?

Not usually — a well-lit phone photo against a plain light wall, cropped tightly, meets most portal rules. Check whether your portal asks for the name and date printed on the photo.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No — resizing and compression run entirely in your browser.
