Frequently asked questions

Does PNG keep transparency?

Yes — if your source photo (e.g. a WebP or another PNG) has transparent areas, they're preserved when converting to PNG.

Why convert to PNG instead of JPG?

PNG is lossless and supports transparency, which makes it the better choice for logos, screenshots, or graphics with sharp edges and text. For ordinary photos, JPG or WebP usually produce much smaller files at similar visual quality.

Will my PNG files be larger than the original?

Possibly — PNG is lossless, so it doesn't compress photographic detail as aggressively as JPG or WebP. That's the trade-off for exact pixel preservation and transparency support.

Can I resize while converting to PNG?

Yes, resize, crop, and watermark settings all apply to the batch regardless of output format.
